 HOW TO USE THIS SITE

I have forgotten my username and/or password.
You may click on the Forgot Password button that is located to the right of your Login screen to have a temporary password emailed to you. You will be prompted for your username and the answer to your security question. After completing, your temporary password will be emailed to you. Login using the temporary password and you will be directed to the Site Settings screen. You will need to enter the new password and click on the update button to save your new password. Next, you will have to answer your security question and click on the update button. Afterwards, click on the Account Information tab that is located on the upper right hand side to view your account(s).

In the event you cannot remember your username or you experience any issues, please contact your Financial Advisor for assistance. To locate your Financial Advisor, please visit the Contact An Advisor page. On this page, you may search for your Financial Advisor by using our Interactive Map or by searching Scott & Stringfellow office locations.

I have received a message stating I have been locked out of my account.
After five login failures, your account will be locked due to unsuccessful login attempts. Please contact your Financial Advisor to ensure you are using the correct username & password and for assistance regarding your Online Access.
I am a Scott & Stringfellow client and I would like to register for Online Access.
You will need to contact your Financial Advisor and request Online Access for your account(s). To locate your Financial Advisor, please visit the Contact An Advisor page. Can I bookmark pages like My Dashboard or Stock Research?
No. Scottstringfellow.com uses a composite security system that checks to see if you are properly logged in each time you visit a page. If you try to bookmark a page, the Web site cannot log you in properly and will ask you for your username and password.
I can’t find what I’m looking for.
You can use the Site Map or enter in a keyword in the Search Box to locate the information you want. If you cannot find an answer to your question, please send us an email at webmaster@scottstringfellow.com.

If you have registered with Scott & Stringfellow and have Online Access, simply login into your online account and click on your Financial Advisor’s name. You’ll see your Financial Advisor’s contact information including email address and phone number. If you cannot remember your Financial Advisor’s contact information, please visit the Contact An Advisor page. On this page, you can search for your Financial Advisor by using our Interactive Map or by searching Scott & Stringfellow office locations.

I have an Apple Macintosh and I received an encryption warning message.
Apple Macintosh users with 128-bit encryption Web browsers may experience encryption warnings while logged into scottstringfellow.com. Do not be concerned if your Macintosh Web browser displays the error message that Scott & Stringfellow’s security certificate has expired. Your account information is still being encrypted by Scott & Stringfellow’s Secure Socket Layer certificate and via our secure HTTPS protocol. .
Does this site use cookies? My Web browser asks me if I want it to remember my password–is this a cookie?
A cookie is a device that enables a Web site to collect and maintain information about the users who visit. Scottstringfellow.com does not use cookies. Some web browsers offer to remember your password, but you are not obligated to use this feature. How do I download data into Microsoft Excel?
To download your data into Excel, click on the Download tab that is located on the lower left hand side. On this page you can download your Activity, Current Holdings or Realized Gains/Losses into Excel. After making a selection, you will be asked if you would like to open or save the file, choose to save it. After the file has been saved, click the open button in Excel to view your file.
I can’t open a PDF that is listed on the website.
You will need to use Adobe® Acrobat Reader to view these PDFs. If you don’t have this software, you can download it free from Adobe Systems Incorporated at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
On the Activity page, why don't all debit card and money market checking entries list the payee?
You must have the optional "Payee/Payor" column inserted on the Activity page to see any payee information. For VISA/ATM sales drafts, this column will contain the merchant or financial institution name. For checks, this field will contain the payee name. Please note if you have a basic checking package (with no VISA card,) payee information may not be displayed, depending on the merchant.
