Our Spectrum Investment Program is structured to allow Scott & Stringfellow clients and financial advisors the flexibility to hire third party investment managers not actively covered by Scott & Stringfellow’s due diligence process. Clients may choose from hundreds of individual investment firms to manage their assets. The client and financial advisor negotiate minimum investment amounts and management fees with the investment managers.

Assets are typically custodied at Scott & Stringfellow, and clients are charged a quarterly fee based on quarter-end asset values. Quarterly reports are provided by Scott & Stringfellow as well as the investment manager. A Spectrum Investment Program account offers you:

  • Experienced professional portfolio management
  • Tax efficiency
  • Quarterly performance report
  • Flexibility to restrict specific stocks and industries from purchase
  • All-inclusive fee
  • Direct security ownership

This program operates under a dual-contract format where the client signs separate contracts with both Scott & Stringfellow and the selected investment manager. Scott & Stringfellow does not accept responsibility for the competence of the investment management firm chosen under this program.
